FORMATION OF EDUCATORS' READINESS TO DEFEND THE MOTHERLAND IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES WITH THE LEADING IDEAS OF COSSACK PEDAGOGICS

Abstract

Annotation. The article substantiates that the readiness to protect the Motherland is an integral part of patriotism. It is characterized by loyalty to Ukrainian ideals, an understanding of civic duty, a desire to master military and military-technical knowledge, a desire to study the military traditions and heroic deeds of the Ukrainian people, its Armed Forces. Readiness to protect the Motherland in educational, physical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects can be formed in students of education in physical education classes, based on the leading ideas of Cossack pedagogy. Cossack pedagogy is interpreted as a part of folk pedagogy, which involves the formation of a courageous citizen with Ukrainian national consciousness and dedication to his native land. It was determined that the main idea of Cossack pedagogy is precisely the development of youth readiness to defend the Motherland, while possessing the necessary qualities, knowledge, abilities, skills and feelings.

The ways of formation of readiness to protect the Motherland in physical education classes are outlined as follows: presentation of short theoretical material in the form of an informative report on the history of the Cossack era (about the achievements and positive qualities of the Cossacks) or about the content of normative documents (the Constitution of Ukraine, the Concept of the Development of Civic Education in Ukraine), in which the essence of compliance with the civic duty of Ukrainians is reflected in practical classes; formulation of thematic tasks about courage and examples of demonstrating high moral qualities and ideals to be studied in the hours allocated for independent work; the use during classes of folklore works (thoughts, songs, legends, tales), which reflect the values of love of freedom, patriotism, goodness, beauty, courage, courage, independence, as well as the heroism of the Cossacks and their struggle against foreign invaders; the use of Cossack mobile games, Cossack amusements, physical exercises of general and special physical training; introducing elements of martial arts into the content of the physical education class (hopak as a Cossack dance, which contains physically difficult techniques to perform, which reflect fighting spirit, faith in one's own strength, offensive and defensive actions for victory; hoidok as a martial art of repeating all the opponent's movements; spas as the system of combat skills, which involves blocking all actions of the opponent's attack; horting as a Cossack martial art of hand-to-hand combat).
